River Cottage

River Cottage HQ is such a fantastic setting for a wedding celebration. We are based on the Devon / Dorset border in 65 acres of organic farm land. Our beautifully restored threshing barn, with it’s oak floor and large windows, is a glorious space at any time of the year.

The River Cottage Kitchen Team never disappoint, cooking up wonderful celebratory dinners, using the very best local produce.
All of our menus are put together using the finest local and seasonal ingredients from the West Country, as well as using produce grown and reared here at River Cottage HQ. During the planning of your wedding, we will arrange for you both to meet with one of our chefs, where you will design your menu together.

As River Cottage HQ is yours for the day, guests are welcome to wander the gardens and smallholding at their leisure or perhaps relax in our yurt, where we often serve the welcome drinks from - one of the luxuries gained from having an exclusive venue for your special day.

Our traditional threshing barn has a maximum capacity of 64 guests. During the Summer months we are able to accommodate a further 30 guests on our decking under a canvas marquee which is located just outside the threshing barn. For larger parties we can hire in marquees; a supplement will apply which is priced by requirement.

If you wish to bring your own wine, champagne and beer, we will not charge you corkage.

Extra costs to consider: formal flowers, entertainment, cakes and additional bar stock. All of which we can recommend from local suppliers. All arrangements, for either a civil or church ceremony are made directly with the local registrar and vicar.
