How we collect personal information
You may browse the site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.
In order to perform certain activities on Tell the Bride, you must first become a member. During registration, you are required to supply your full name, a screen name (which can be just a first name or a nickname), contact information (email address and or telephone number), and your address.
Disclosing your personal information
Tell the Bride may publish a member's screen name, town, county and country on the site.
Tell the Bride may at its discretion take steps to verify with third parties the accuracy of any personal information you provide.
We may also at our discretion disclose personal information that is required by the police (or other organisations with a law enforcement role) for the prevention and detection of crime or the apprehension or prosecution of offenders, as provided for under Section 29 of the Data Protection Act.
Tell the Bride may at its discretion disclose personal information to intellectual property rights holders for the investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement or other unlawful activity connected to their property, as provided for under Section 35 of the Data Protection Act.
Tell the Bride may disclose specific personal information where it is required to by law, and where necessary for the purpose of or in connection with any legal proceedings, as provided for under Section 35 of the Data Protection Act.
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Web site.
If you are browsing our site, reading articles etc. without being a registered user, we gather no personal information about you. All we will gather is the standard HTTP information that will appear in our web logs, though we will use unique identifiers for the purpose of identifying an individual user. Only when you register will we actually require you to give us personal details like email, password, name, title and address. Once you are a member, you have the option to submit further details.
Third Party Advertisers
We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. We do not provide these companies with any of your personal information.
Our site's registration form requires you to give us contact information (like your name, email, and postal address). We will store information about you as long as we require it to carry out our business. Contact information from the registration forms is used to validate your address when you make a purchase on our site. We will only share your contact information if you chose to do so, for example if you wish to contact an Advertiser on our site.

Credit Card Data
We do not store any credit card data on our servers. This information is gathered and stored by our payment providers, who inform us on successful payment.
We may run Competitions on our site from time to time, some of which may be sponsored by Advertisers on our site. We will only share your contact information with the competition sponsor if you are a winner, and for the sole purposes of administering the prize giving. This site makes chat rooms, forums, blogs, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control.
Choice / opt out
Users may opt-out of receiving future email newsletters, you can change your settings in the My Account area of our site. You can contact us to request to be unregistered from our database at anytime. This will involve us removing any personal information that you gave to us when becoming a member.
Data quality / access
This site gives users the option for changing and modifying information kept by us in the My Account section of the site. If you have any difficulties please contact us.
For Advertisers on our Site
If you are an Advertiser on our site we will display your postal address and phone numbers on our pages, unless you choose to opt out when creating your listing. We will not display or make available your email address on our pages. Users will be able to contact you via email, using our pages, but the email address is not visible to the user, or the internet in general.
